We’ve got a lot to shout about. We introduced major marketing TV, Radio and Press campaigns, spreading the word about the city’s transformation and challenging outdated perceptions.Proactive and holistic PR has delivered over £1.5m of FREE media coverage.
Our ‘Spotlight on Swansea’ marketing programme ⁄ vehicle has been hugely successful with over 200 members directly using it to advertise their business on local radio and publications FREE.
Our generic radio and press campaigns have given over 2 million people the opportunity to hear and read about members businesses and Swansea City Centre.

This year the countdown begins on Saturday 19th November as The City and County of Swansea and Swansea BID celebrate with the official launch of A Swansea Christmas.
This year the countdown begins on Saturday 19th November as The City and County of Swansea and Swansea BID celebrate with the official launch of A Swansea Christmas. Swansea City Centre will be alive with plenty of Christmas festivities between 10am and 4pm and you will be immersed into a world filled with real Reindeer, a number of free mince pies available from Swansea Market, Children’s Ride, Santa’s Grotto, face painting plus festive stilt walkers to herald the start of the festive season.
The City and County of Swansea’s annual Christmas parade takes place on 20th November and will offer an action packed programme of dazzling entertainment for all the family. The Christmas Parade and light switch on starts at 5pm commencing from the Dylan Thomas Centre. There is Free parking at NCP car parks on The Kingsway and Orchard Street between 4pm - 8pm thanks to Swansea BID.. There is no reason to miss the lights switch on!
The return of The City and County of Swansea’s Waterfront Winterland officially opens on 18th November with Admiral Open Air Ice Rink, Big Wheel and plenty seasonal excitement! With over 8 weeks of skating on offer this is a must-do Christmas experience.
- A week later on 25 November Christmas markets will be in town along Oxford Street and offer a range of festive treats, crafts and gifts.th
- Shopping is easy this Christmas in Swansea. You can park closer to your favourite High Street and Independent shops for less. Its only £2.40 for 4 hours in St David’s after 10am, up to 1 hour FREE in all NCP car parks, and £1 for 4 hours in High street.
- Enjoy late night shopping in the City Centre, where you can shop till 8pm on Wednesday 7th December, Wednesday 14th December and Wednesday 21st December.
