Swansea BID is governed by a Board of voluntary Directors provides invaluable experience, strategic direction and input to Swansea BID and directly accountable for the effective delivery of the company operations and services as set out in the business plan and upholding and promoting the company’s vision and objectives.
The Swansea BID company will always be Chaired by a private sector representative. The board meet monthly reviewing budgets and performance with our operational sub-groups Chaired by a BID Director covering specific themes, projects, delivery and performance also meeting. Scheduled meeting dates for BID year 18/19 are:
2nd August 2018 | 6th September 2018 | 4th October 2018 | 1st November 2018 | 6th December 2018 | 10th January 2019 | 7th February 2019 | 7th March 2019 | 4th April 2019 | 9th May 2019 | 6th June 2019 | 4th July 2019. The board are also responsible for setting the annual budget, monitoring performance and finances, working alongside the Chief Executive, who presents recommendations based on yearly levy yield and forecasted income provided by the Local Authority Business Rates Department.
Swansea Business Improvements Ltd was incorporated on 2nd August 2006 as a private, not for profit, a company limited by guarantee without share capital. Crucially, the make-up of the board represents the broad spectrum of the various BID-area sectors. They currently represent:

The company day to day operations is managed by the BIDs office team that can be found here who are accountable to the board of Directors. The companies Chief Executive provides the board with monthly operational and financial updates to the board of Directors.
