Swansea Business Improvements Ltd was incorporated on 2nd August 2006 as a private, not for profit, a company limited by guarantee without share capital. Crucially, the make-up of the board represents the broad spectrum of the various BID-area sectors.
They currently represent: Independent – 5 | National – 2 | Public sector – 2 | Office – 2 | Education – 1 | Property owner/Landlord/Third Sector – 1 | Hospitality/Licensees – 1
Swansea BID is governed by a Board of voluntary Directors provides invaluable experience, strategic direction and input to Swansea BID and directly accountable for the effective delivery of the company operations and services as set out in the business plan and upholding and promoting the company’s vision and objectives.
The Swansea BID company has been and will continue to be Chaired by a private sector representative. The board meet monthly reviewing budgets and performance. The board are also responsible for setting the annual budget, monitoring performance and finances, working alongside the Chief Executive, who presents recommendations based on yearly levy yield and forecasted income provided by the Local Authority Business Rates Department. Scheduled board meeting dates for BID year 19/20 are:

The company day to day operations is managed by the BIDs office team that can be found here who are accountable to the board of Directors. The companies Chief Executive provides the board with monthly operational and financial updates to the board of Directors.
