Swansea Business Improvements Ltd was incorporated on 2nd August 2006 as a private, not for profit, company limited by guarantee without share capital. Crucially, the make-up of the board represents the broad spectrum of the various BID-area sectors.

A Board of voluntary Directors governs Swansea BID provides invaluable experience, strategic direction and input to Swansea BID and is directly accountable for the effective delivery of the company operations and services as set out in the business plan and upholding and promoting the company’s vision and objectives.
The Swansea BID company has been and will continue to be Chaired by a private sector representative. The board review budgets and performance and are also responsible for setting the annual budget, monitoring performance and finances, working alongside the Chief Executive, who presents recommendations based on yearly levy yield and forecasted income provided by the Local Authority Business Rates Department.
The Board will meet no less than quarterly each year with our 4th Term board meeting dates being: 12th August 2021 | 2nd September 2021 | 7th October 2021 | 4th November 2021 | 2nd December 2021 | 6th January 2022 | 3rd February 2022 | 3rd March 2022 | 7th April 2022 | 5th May 2022 | 2nd June 2022 | 7th July 2022

The company day-to-day operations are managed by the BIDs office team that can be found here, accountable to the Board of Directors. The company Chief Executive provides the board with monthly operational and financial updates to the Board of Directors.
