We are delighted to announce a new car parking offer, which is in place from Monday 9 November, to help Swansea City Centre in the post-firebreak lockdown period.
Swansea BID has worked closely with Swansea Council on this scheme, which has been generously funded by the Local Authority. It would be great if our Swansea BID area businesses could share the news with their customers and clients that:
- Motorists visiting the city centre from Monday (Nov 9) will be able to park for £1 for the first two hours and all-day parking will be just £2
- The offer covers all City Centre car parks including multi-storey and pay and display car parks
The new scheme will initially run for one month from Nov 9 – Dec 9 and a report will be presented to Swansea Council’s Cabinet later this month to agree an extension of the scheme until January 31 2021.
Russell Greenslade, Chief Executive of Swansea BID said: “This very generous car parking offer will be a great support to our City Centre businesses at a time when they really need it. We very much welcome this incentive, funded by Swansea Council, and we are pleased that we were able to work together to put it in place. We know it will help shoppers and visitors head back to the City Centre to do their Christmas shopping, and to support the local businesses they love.”
