Businesses who have taken part in the Eat Out to Help Out scheme should submit their claims to the Government for reimbursement before September 30.
Swansea foodies have been enjoying their favourite treats half price throughout August, thanks to the Eat Out to Help Out scheme. The hike in footfall figures, mentioned detailed here: https://www.swanseabid.co.uk/swansea-city-centre-far-outstrips-neighbouring-cities-in-the-post-lockdown-bounce-back/ speak for themselves. Many thanks for all of our food outlets who took part. Participating businesses have until 30 September to claim the money back from the Government.
The process is straightforward, but you must make the claim yourself, you cannot ask an agent to do it for you, and you must enter accurate details for all the establishments you’re claiming for before submitting your claim. Participating businesses will need the records they have kept for each day they have used the scheme, including the:
- total number of diners (covers) who have used the scheme, including children
- total amount of discount given
- period being claimed for
If making a claim for more than one establishment, business owners will need to have the:
- records for each establishment
- overall total value of the claim for all establishments ready before making the claim.
