It Isn’t Christmas in Swansea Until the Santa Parade Begins

November 16, 2018 3:07 pm

The festive season doesn’t get started in Swansea until the Christmas parade has arrived. Happily, it returns on Sunday, November 18,  and it will be packed full of festivities. There will be crowd-pulling entertainment throughout the City Centre including choirs, dancers, musicians and the world famous clowns Tom and Pepe with their elves. The festive fun will begin at 4pm along the eight stages of the route and the main event will begin at 5pm.

Titled ‘Santa’s time travelling adventure’, the parade will focus on Christmases of the past, present and future and immerse onlookers in to each of them. This year’s Christmas parade follows a new route this year through the City Centre and Santa will stop off at four Show Stopper stages at St. Mary’s Church, Swansea Castle and either end of the Kingsway. There will be live entertainment, dance troupes and amazing lights at each Show Stopper stage and then the big switch on of the lights in that area.

With the Waterfront Winterland in action and FREE car parking at all Swansea City Centre council car parks, this weekend should be the start of a sparkling festive season.
