Salary: £29,000 Per Year

Overview of Role
We seek an enthusiastic individual to take on an exciting and challenging Engagement & Communications role.
Working closely with the operations team and reporting to the Chief Executive, the successful candidate will lead our business engagement and maintain and develop our digital communications/marketing platforms to promote the BIDs services, products, events and activities.
You will be responsible for clearly communicating our key messages to our internal audiences through our BID brand and external audiences through our Big Heart of Swansea (BHS) brand.
The successful candidate will support colleagues to advance our brand identity and broaden awareness of the BIDs' purpose, activities, and priorities.
The successful candidate will work from the Swansea BID offices in the heart of Swansea City centre, so the ability to commute here is essential for the future.
Main Duties
Manage and lead business engagement plans and communications
Be part of the BID team's daily presence around the City centre, maximising contact with our BID area businesses
Responsible for sourcing, managing and delivering relevant training initiatives and events for our BID area businesses and their staff
Responsible for developing and delivering compelling communications initiatives
Work with colleagues and external partners to create and facilitate effective and consistent communications and monitor success/ROI
Lead on ensuring that all Swansea BID and BHS digital platforms are regularly updated, maintained and developed, continually reviewing and improving them
Maintain and build the organisation's digital presence and reputation, including managing a library of reusable content
Responsible for designing and producing and maintain communications/marketing materials, publications, bloc, invitations and advertisements
Using evaluation tools, create reports on the performance and engagement of BID and BHS digital platforms
Draft engaging copy tailored to different audiences and across multiple channels, including writing press releases and responding to media enquiries
Engage with BID area businesses to source content, place stories, use initiative to stimulate interest and create new media opportunities
Record and report on online and traditional media coverage
As required, lead on producing and marketing company events, webinars, podcasts, and other initiatives.

Person Specification
Essential Criteria
Qualified to degree level and/or relevant professional experience
Experience in delivering communication and engagement campaigns and evaluating their success
Experience in monitoring and evaluating various digital platforms and recommending improvements to increase engagement.
Experience in communicating and engaging with businesses 1-2-1 and as a group
Excellent writing and editing skills emphasise developing accessible and creative copy for communications and social media activity
Ability to work under pressure, to tight deadlines and prioritise own workload
Experience in completing tasks to agreed budgets within timeframes and standards
Experience in using technology relevant to the work and ability to identify and select the most appropriate technology for assigned tasks
Excellent interpersonal skills and experience communicating effectively with various levels, external stakeholders, members and staff
A positive and practical approach to problem-solving
Desirable Criteria
Knowledge and understanding of the Business Improvement District sector
Welsh language skills
