University of Wales Trinity Said David offers free industry-led higher and degree apprenticeships to transform your workforce.
UWTSD is looking for employers who would like to partner with them to up-skill the workforce in Wales. The degrees offered by UWTSD combined with daily practical on-the-job experience support students to apply the knowledge gained directly to the workplace.
This is highly beneficial for employers as it encourages staff retention. The UWTSD courses fill skills gaps within your business by up-skilling or retraining employees. The degree apprenticeship is also beneficial for employees as they provide an opportunity to gain a degree as a company benefit, giving them an improved progression plan within your company. Once enrolled your employees will be provided with full individual support via UWTSD's apprentice liaison mentors who meet with students every 4-6 weeks.

Apprenticeships are for employees of all ages aged 18 and over, not in full-time education:
This is a lifelong learning pathway (no age limit).
Duration is 2 – 4 years depending on the programme.
Apprentices must be in employment. (If you are self-employed in Wales you can also apply)
Apprentices must be eligible to work in the UK and receive a minimum salary of at least £12,000 per annum.
Study part-time around work commitments.
You are entitled to a wage, statutory holidays and paid time off to study.
Suitable for all industry sectors and all business sizes.
Cost is paid through Government funding
Qualifications - UWTSD HNC / honours degree / MA with optional professional qualifications.
Part-time work and learn one day per week with help from a dedicated apprentice development officer
