Our rapid response Cleansing Team continues to react to levy payer requests and has played a lead role in raising cleanliness standards across the BID area.

The team deep clean pavements, doorways, and business frontages and removes chewing gum. Over the last 12 months, the team has delivered 6,200 hours of additional cleansing, including the washing of doorways and hotspots of bodily waste, over 100,000 pieces of chewing gum and removed more than 1,000 unwanted tags from levy paying businesses’ property this year.
We have also delivered a deep clean of the BID area pavements working with the Council and external professionals helping raise the standard of the area for us and the council to maintain.
Daily monitoring of the city centre by our teams allows them to ensure tags are removed quickly and cleansing issues dealt with to reduce the likelihood of a repeat occurrence. We ensure the team is continually trained in the latest techniques and products to deliver the best service for levy payers. Our levy payers benefit from established links with the Cleaning Team who act as conduits of information.
