Good afternoon, As you may be aware, this year’s Swansea University Swansea Half Marathon takes place on 11th June 2023. With the event being a closed road event, there will be formal closures in place and I hope that this advanced notice will help with staff planning/store opening / general awareness / etc. The race will start and finish beneath the Copr Bay Bridge outside the Swansea Arena with the event route going through the city centre and then heading down to Mumbles and back towards the finish line. With a 0855 start scheduled for the wheelchair race, the mass race at 0900 and the Family Fun Run at 0915, we would anticipate being clear of the city centre at around 10:45. Please note that there will be a closure on Oystermouth Road between Princess Way and West Way (westbound only) from 20:00 on Sat 10th June to assist with the event build. This closure will run until 1500 on Sunday. For ease of reference, the running route is as follows: Start: Copr Bay Bridge (Beneath) Oystermouth Road – Swansea University Singleton Campus Into the campus, around the roundabout and back out, exiting back onto Mumbles Road Heading eastbound towards the city centre Veering onto Guildhall Road South Followed by: St Helens Road Kingsway Orchard St Alexander place High St Castle Bailey St Castle St Caer St Princess Way turning right onto Oystermouth Road to Oystermouth and onto the prom Exiting the prom after the Secret and back to the Copr Bay Bridge Finish. Access around the city is primarily via Tawe Bridges and Dyfatty Lights heading to Killay/Fairwood for Mumbles/Gower. We would appreciate it if you would share with this staff/colleagues and other stores in the city centre/Swansea, who may be affected.

If you have any questions; or require any advice on how to get in and out of the City Centre, please contact Nick : nick@frontrunnerevents.co.ukv and we shall endeavour to assist wherever we can.
