Swansea city centre has so much to offer, and we are working to maximize its potential. Through seasonal experiences, promotional activities and marketing campaigns, the BID will continue to promote our businesses and the city centre to visitors and residents to help increase footfall and spend in the city centre.

Promoting & Supporting Businesses

We help revitalise businesses while promoting our BID area as a positive and welcoming place to visit with free levy payer promotion via our social media platforms, gift card, cost saving benefits and our support, advice and guidance for businesses on varied different matters continues and boost social engagement, prioritising quality and creative content to support our levy payers.

 

Working in collaboration with partners on high profile marketing campaigns we keep the area top of mind . ​In addition we have plans to invest in a new quality and creative activities, events and schemes as we see quality activities, events and schemes bring footfall into the BID area, and many of you our levy payers directly benefit from the increased footfall and spend.​ We continue to grow our events seasonal calendar delivering new and different activities and support larger events.

 

We have a full calendar of events happening in the area that includes large scale major events such Wales Airshow, Ironman 70.3, Half Marathon and World Triathlon Para Series to name a few event as well as a full calendar of new events/shows at the new Swansea ARENA. We promote and supporting these events and activities helping attract as many visitors as possible benefiting our levy payers.

 

Our award winning Creative Bubble scheme with UWTSD brings our BID levy payers even closer to the student talent we have here in Swansea and we look forward to scaling this project up moving forward.

Promoting the city to residents and visitors

Our consumer brand called The Big Heart of Swansea brand continues to go from strength to strength with some hugely exciting plans in the pipeline to provide Swansea Residents unique offers and loyalty scheme. Our social media platforms for the brand have grown on average 17% year on year and we work with partners to promote the city centre to visitors and create new opportunities for our BID levy payers to showcase their businesses.

 

As an experience BID we know that quality events bring footfall into the BID area, and many of our businesses directly benefit from the increased footfall which is why we promote and support events to attract as many visitors as possible. We provide support, guidance and signposting to new and existing events to become financially sustainable and enhance events with business engagement, promotional campaigns and marketing support.
